AquaRite Control?

AquaRite Control?

Postby Sammy2 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 2:33 pm

I have a Hayward AquaRite and I noticed a 4-wire RS485 connection on the PCB when I had it open the other day working on getting the Flow Sensor going again (good thing that's working again!). I also have an Autelis hooked into my Jandy PCB and the Vera Plugin for that working just fine in Vera.

My question is, is there a way to hook another Autelis into the AquaRite to get feedback and maybe control over ip protocol through a web app / GUI or maybe even a plugin back over to Vera?

TIA!

Our Intelliflo controller is able to directly control a chlorinator.

So this one?

It is for Pentair but will control Hayward SWG's?

Will two PoolControls play nice on the same network?

Thanks!

@rstrouse Do you have a Vera Plugin to incorporate it in Vera?

Thanks to you too!

Yes it will control aquarite. We would have to make a small change to the firmware if you want to use it without a pump.

So will it work side by side with my existing Jandy Aurelis? Do they need to be on different ports?

Is it possible to run a second 4-wire communication cable from my existing Jandy Autelis to the AquaRite with a modified f/w?

Will it still talk to Vera in either case?

TIA

@autelis

Is it possible to get a sample of what the status.xml and chem.xml files return so that @rstrouse can help me with incorporation into the Pool Control Plugin in Vera?

This would be very much appreciated as I would like to know that it will be possible to do beforehand.

TIA!

They do not need to be on different ports because they will have separate IP addresses. It is not possible to use your existing Pool Control device to also control the chlorinator.

Format here: http://autelis.com/wiki/index.php?title ... hlorinator

Thanks.

According to @rstrouse, this is a different protocol than for either Jandy or Pentair so there's a little coding to do to incorporated it into Vera.
